The 24th Millennium Science Forum was held on 11 November 2022 at the British Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. The 24th Sir Martin Wood Prize (2022) was presented to Dr Shunichiro Watanabe (The University of Tokyo) by the British Ambassador to Japan, Ms. Julia Longbottom. The award was presented to Dr Watanabe for his work on Creation of crystalline organic and polymeric semiconductors with excellent charge and spin transport properties.
In addition, we welcomed guest speakers Professor Hidetoshi Fukuyama (Tokyo University of Science) and online, Professor Peter Littlewood (University of Chicago). The event at the ambassador's residence for the first time in three years was held in a friendly atmosphere while implementing measures to prevent infectious diseases.
